Opportunity Arts Visits Parliament

November 6th - December 5th 2019

Opportunity Arts has assembled some of its favourite artists for an exciting showcase at Parliament's Bowen House gallery, hosted by Hon. Carmel Sepuloni (minister for Disability and associate minister for arts/culture/heritage).

These artists are a mixture of self-taught, outsider, intuitive, visionary and raw. A diverse group who all display their own unique language and points of view, rather than following traditional conventions or responding to art trends.

This exhibition also acted as a launch for our online shop (www.opportunityarts.org.nz/shop) where art lovers now have the opportunity to purchase works by motivated and talented artists - including those exhibiting in the Parliament show. The works are bold and unselfconscious. They can be works that are harder to find. These are some of the most unique, challenging and exciting artworks that New Zealand has to offer and the Opportunity Arts shop makes it easier for art lovers to view and purchase them, enriching both the artist and the art lovers’ lives.

Exhibiting Artists : Daniel Phillips, David Boyle, Denise Dennehy, Emma Lou, Farish Ali, Fergus Collinson, Georgia Garrett, Giovanni Rawson, Johanna Grant-Mackie, Jonathan Kan, Juliet Nally, LENNY ZOOK, Maisie Chilton Tressler, Martin Kerschbaumer, Nicole Arrow van Geet, Nicol Cheung, Paul Heyes
